Bebe SR >>PHOTOS<<
American Trakehner filly, born 2010

Bebe SR is our 2010 Summertime filly out of Pr.St. Bell Capri. Like her siblings, she is very correct and has that certain extra sparkle to her appearance. She is a very dynamic mover, and has a great personality. We are looking forward to her development.

The sire:

Summertime was approved as a premium stallion in 2000. Stationed at Gestüt Hämelschenburg, he won young horse competitions in dressage and show jumping and also finished an excellent 70 test. Sire EH Michelangelo has been the breed's most successful mare producer for the past several years (based on inspection scores of his daughters). After his approval, he was sold to the Netherlands and was a bit forgotten in Germany until 1990 and his outstanding son Kennedy, who became champion of that approval and sold at auction for a record breaking 401,000DM. EH Michelangelo's most successful offspring in the competition world was the Danish gelding Just Mickey in dressage. With his Swedish rider, he won Team Silver at the 2005 European Dressage Championships in Hagen/Germany, and also participated at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. In 2009, Michelangelo's grand son Mistral Horjis and young British rider Laura Bechtoldsheimer had an outstanding medal winning appearance at the European Dressage Championships in Windsor. Summertime's dam Saronga was not only a premium mare, but also an under saddle champion and qualified for the Bundeschampionat of the German Riding Horse. She is a close maternal relative to the dam of Samurai II (by EH Mackensen), the reserve champion from Neumünster who ended up living in the US. Another stallion from this small private East Prussian mare family of Sophie is the top show jumper producer Sarafan. This line also produced the stallion Sarastro and a number of excellent sport horses, predominantly in eventing and show jumping. In 2006, Summertime's first son was approved in Germany, the Champion Songline He sold at auction for 325,000 Euro to Canadian Gustav Schickedant, but remains in Germany for a performance career. In 2009, he qualified for the Bundeschampionat of the German Event Horse. In 2010, he qualified for the Bundeschampionat again, and also for the FEI World Champinships of the Young Event Horse in Lion d'Angers/France. In August of 2010, this 6yr old stallion won the CIC* at Bad Harzburg, Germany. In 2007, another Summertime son was approved in North America, Eisenherz, followed by the 2008 approved Everio and 2009 approved Giovanni Silva in Germany.
