More about Scharade II
Scharade II was a brood mare for the famous older Trakehner stud farm Rantzau in the state of Schlewig-Holstein. Rantzau was one of the three major farms that collected the scattered Trakehner horses after the trek in 1945 and it is due to their great achievements that the breed was saved. Scharade II represented the family of Saaleck. Most famous representative of this family was Schwalbe by Totilas. Her daughter Scherezad (by Marsuk ox) founded her own branch of the family, most importantly represented by Scharade II (by Magnet).
